ÒùЦ½ºþ Promotes John Smith to Executive Vice President, Construction
ÒùЦ½ºþ Constructors, Inc. has promoted John Smith to executive vice president, construction. ÒùЦ½ºþ is one of the largest privately-held companies in St. Louis and one of the nation’s largest construction firms. ÒùЦ½ºþ reported revenue of $4 billion in 2023, including $260 million from St. Louis area projects. It employs 3,500 companywide. Â
Smith has served ÒùЦ½ºþ and its clients for the past 17 years, most recently as Vice President and Market Leader. He is known for his collaborative approach and technical expertise along with being a mentor to the next generation of leaders in the business. He has orchestrated several highly complex projects including the $500 million Wichita Northwest Water Treatment Facility in Wichita, Ks. and the $208 million Meldahl Hydroelectric Plant in Foster, Ky.
Smith serves on the Board of Trustees for Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T) and is the chair of their Career Development Council. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Consortium for Construction Innovation (MO-CCI) at Missouri S&T and the National Center for Construction Safety at the University of Kansas. Smith earned a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Missouri S&T and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
